Welcome to RIMS Western Carolina!

President's Message

Founded in 1980, the Western Carolina RIMS Chapter represents risk management professionals across the the State of South Carolina and western North Carolina.  Western Carolina RIMS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the risk management profession. The chapter board is comprised of local risk professionals from varied industries and disciplines who devote their time and efforts to promote and support risk and insurance professionals locally and nationally.

The Western Carolina RIMS Chapter is an active participant in the planning, organization, and execution of the annual Southeast Regional RIMS Educational Conference co-hosted by the Charlotte & Raliegh RIMS Chapters. This event provides great educational and networking opportunities for our members and students hoping to secure positions Risk/Insurance related careers within our industry.

Our "newly elected" Board is happy to announce the following upcoming year-end Chapter Events:

  • Next Lunch/Learn/Network Meeting will be scheduled for MONDAY NOVEMBER 16TH at BMW's Zentrum Visitor Center.  The presentation topic is the State of the Insurance Marketplace. Our guest presenter will be Stephen Moore Vice President Account Executive Alliant Specialty.  This will also be a great time to meet our new Board Members and tour BMW Zentrum Museum! 
  • December Holiday Celebration & Charitable Giving (Members Only) Event - Date, Time, & Location TBD.  Any Members interested in serving on the Planning Committee please contact us

For our Non-Member Friends please consider adding a Friends of the Western Carolina RIMS Chapter - The annual fee is $125 and provides access to ALL LOCAL CHAPTER EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS & SOCIAL NETWORKING EVENTS
